I really enjoyed strolling through your blog and etsy page. You have a wonderful artistic style. I am amazed you completed a painting everyday with even one child. I am lucky if I finish a simple sketch. You are my new hero, I would love to know your secret. I will defiantly be stopping by frequently to see what new things you have posted.

Wow, Thank you for the high compliments! The “secret” back then was to be willing to put painting before almost anything else. That isn’t always the most healthy option. Thankfully, I had a completely supportive husband and a very, very good baby. However, I think my new work ethic is not only more practical, but refreshing for me as an artist. The key is to keep creating no matter what!

I love your work so much! They are pure and simple, however really really beautiful.
May I ask how do you do your graphic designs?! Were they done with Adobe Illustrator?

I create all my designs in photoshop + illustrator. I have the whole adobe suite, but honestly, these are my two favorites and they do the job very well!

I love your blog so much! Your paintings are cool! I checked out your shop as well and reading about you reminds me of what I am trying to do in my life. I love photography, sketching, watercolor, graphic design and have done drawings since I was a little. I’m majoring in Art and Design and Looking at your work it’s inspiring me to just keep going in school and learn as much as possible to have a career in this stuff. =]

As for the photo of my family, my cousin took it on our recent trip to NYC. She’s still in high school, but is quite talented!
I am using the paid version of wordpress, however, many of the customizations you see are available with the free version. Most of the buttons and images on the sidebar are just images I designed and uploaded.

Its tough but fun. I’ve started selling my work door to door and found success. I think my unique twist on the maze has really helps me get in the door. But I just cant imagine doing anything else!! I will definitely stay tuned!

Your art is so beautiful, how do you branch out into so many different techniques? I just sketch and paint with acrylics and am having trouble working with new things though I want to. Any advice? (:

Lovely jewelry work! I just check out you shop at Big Cartel. I wish I had more time to comment but I gotta run to pick up my kids from camp. One thing I wanted to share about your jewelry is that I could totally see a child’s artwork in one of your jewelry/necklaces. Paints are undervalued, there is so much emphasis on digital art but I prefer seeing the hard work of artists. I can tell you’ve worked hard and the effort shows in the beauty of the paintings I see. Thank you for doing what you do, it gives me inspiration.

Hello, this is the first time I go here and you have skill drawing with the art brush. Taking a quick look in your first entry I see that you love doing art about nature, for example flowers and the sky. Then I was looking more entries below and I see you help children, so I guess you want more people to follow the artistic process.
