Plus, I really love that both our daughters slept in our room for the first 6 months and wanted to continue that family tradition (and, the nightly feeding schedule is WAY easier when the babe is close by!)

Since he was going to be in our space, the design aesthetic needed to be simple, natural, and a bit bohemian (no kitchy theme for this little guy…).  We kept the details minimal so that the whole area feels as light and fresh as possible.  Handmade accents, hand-dyed sheets, artwork done by his mama, and light.  A lot of light.

Design Elements:

Crib: Babyletto

Mobile: Handmade by Electric Sun Creative

Artwork by moi

Bead garland strung by my little girls (similar beads available here)

Sheets: Burts Bee Organic Cotton  (hand-dyed in my back yard – it’s easy! )

Indigo Dye (I dyed the baby sheets, his onesie… and basically every other white piece of cloth in my home – SO FUN)
