Ok, now I know that Snapchat is weird and it might seem like an app geared to the selfie generation – but it’s growing beyond that and so many creative people are using it to share some really cool parts of their process!
…and I’m totally addicted to it. I mean, I fell fast and hard and there is no going back.
The trickiest thing about Snapchat is that it’s hard to find people. So, let me help. Below you will find 10 people I enjoy following on Snapchat. These are creative people sharing “snaps” from their studios, travels, homes, and/or offices, and they’re all doing it really well.
These are grown ups (not 13 year olds) and they’re mature, successful, creative, and inspiring. So see! It’s for all of us! Don’t let the children scare you away from something awesome. 😉
Ok, now for the list:

Ok, don’t laugh. I’m going to share something that is normally ONLY reserved for my snapchat audience (because I know they’re gracious and cool like that)… BUT, here is my snapchat story from a day last week.
An afternoon with artist @Emily_Jeffords on Snapchat from Emily Jeffords on Vimeo.
See, it’s fun and lighthearted which is really refreshing in a world that is SO polished and perfect. This is the one place we artists feel at ease and truly unfiltered.
I hope to see you there!
PS. This post is not sponsored by Snapchat at all. Just thought I should throw that out there since I think I’ve gone a bit overboard. All enthusiasm is genuinely my own and not bribed or paid for.
This seems like an awesome idea to connect with the community in a very honest way. Thanks for sharing your video and favourite artists.
I never would have thought to follow people on snapchat that I am not friends with IRL!
Thank you again for sharing my account Emily! Love connecting with you on Snapchat there! It gives me a deeper connection to your work. Just added this article to my press page as well!
Emily, it’s refreshing to hear just conversation. A Charleston artist; where IS your shop in Greenville? Your work is fun, light and lovely. And as a creative, I addicted to beauty and learning.
Hi Emily! I just discovered you on Snapchat and am really enjoying seeing your process! Thank you so much for all you share! I am also an artist and mom so it is so inspiring to see how you find time to create! Your paintings are gorgeous!!!
