Hello everyone!
I’m so happy to be getting back into the swing of things in our new home and post-Indie Craft Parade (there is a blog post on that amazing event coming soon!) I so appreciate your patience with my sporadic blogging habits throughout the summer. It has been exciting, exhausting, and full of personal triumphs (and many cups of coffee), but not many blog posts, fortunately.
Our new home is located right next to downtown Greenville, which is seriously beautiful and so family friendly! We walk as much as possible and pay far too many visits to the local ice cream parlor. I wish you all lived closer!
The magnificent Reedy River Falls Park + downtown are less than 1/4 mile from our front door!
Thank you to everyone who signed up for the Sept-Oct commissions! I am completely booked until the end of October, however, if you’re interested in getting a commission completed by Christmas (or as a totally amazing Christmas gift) please email me! These commission paintings are filling my mind with beautiful color combinations and lovely landscape compositions and I would love to create one for you! The colors, mood, and size are entirely up to you, and I create a stunning landscape scene centered around your inspiration. 16×20 inches: $300 (larger and smaller sizes are available.)

For those of you who are in the Greenville, SC area, please get out your calendars and write down “go to the White Whale Studios Opening next Friday”. Really. I would love to see you there! We’re having a very exciting “artsy autumn evening” complete with loads of fine art created by 8 resident artists, stunning floral designs, yummy drinks, and dinner from the amazing new food truck, ThoroughFARE.
You can see all the info on our Facebook events page here.
September 27th, 6-10

I can’t wait to share the photos from this event with everyone! It’s going to be so very beautiful and we are all so excited.
(Below are a few photos of a past event held by Julie Dodds (the flower queen) and a few scenes from my studio)
Love your blog. First, the appearance is so clean and fresh. But the content is also good — love the picture of the office nook with that interesting rug. http://ohtheplaceswesee.com
