This DIY project is crazy easy and is actually so much fun I have created about 10 of these line paintings in the last two days! Over kill? Eh…. maybe… but I can’t help myself!
You don’t even need to paint this. It looks cool in just pencil or pen too; very graphic and a bit minimalistic.
Watercolor paint is fun because you can drop more paint into certain areas to give them a little more visual “bam-bam”.
And really, who says you have to create a state? You could totally create this pattern on a large monogram, the shape of an animal, flower… whatever and wherever you want!
Have fun and if you have any questions comment below! I’ll answer asap.
Love it, i have to try this!

I love it. At first, I thought that the lines were highways. Now I see that they are just lines, but it would be cool to do a painting with the actual roadways as well. I wish that I had more time to work on projects!

Thanks for sharing this idea, it looks lovely. It reminds me a little of those string and nail boards that were fashionable in the seventies. 🙂
