Keep Calm and Use Some Color

Well the Olympics are over, and the bits and pieces that I was able to see were enough to consume me in national pride and a pretty strong urge to move to London for a couple of years.  Oh my goodness, that city has some style!   The thing that stood out to me the most is the stunning contrast between the aged, intricate architecture and the bold, graphic colors that the UK loves so very much.  They use so much vibrant red, deep blues, and stunning golds in their design.  I love it!  But then the countryside is so serene and quiet…  yes, I think I need to live there.

To help myself (and hopefully you!) think about these colors a little more clearly I pulled some hues from these beautiful photos of England.  Enjoy!

Do any of you live in (or visit) the UK?  If you have any photos you would like to share I would love to see them!   Just leave a link in the comments and we can all “oo and ah”.
