I’m totally loving this unique and unusual collection of art and design! Originally I put these pieces together because they all intrigued me and had similar colors, but once they were grouped this lovely little-world emerged! Playhouses outside in the yard, costume shows, childhood treasures, a world where imagination is priceless… I remember spending countless hours outside in the woods with my siblings and friends, dreaming up meals out of leaves and berries, creating homes out of sticks and trees, going on crazy adventures in our minds.
This is the world I want to create for my little girls.
Did you have a childhood full of imagination? What incredible worlds did you create?
1. Doll houses designed by Joel Henriques from the book Made To Play! {Check out the video tutorial he did with Martha Stewart!) ($14 at B&N) | 2. Delicate and unique painted feather and leaf stones by Marisa Redondo of River Luna ($18-28)| 3. White Modern Succulent Sculpture designed and created by Michelle Weddle ($15) | 4. Simple and beautiful pencil & watercolor illustration, “Little Indian“, by Emma Leonard ($42)

I really like the little doll houses. They look magical – with their petite details. Doll houses always carry a little vibe with mystery in them, don’t you think?

Yes, I too had a childhood spent outdoors creating all kinds of wonderful worlds in my little suburban neighborhood! You brought back some sweet memories… thanks!
