Oh goodness…. you’d think with 20-something years of color explorations and living on this lush and beautiful earth my two favorite colors would be a little more “vibrant”. But no. Black and white are my classic, never-get-over-how-great-you-look, bold and beautiful, go-to colors.
I’m loving this collection because it is a little rough around the edges, yet still classy and refined. I hope it inspires and excites you as much as it did me! I can’t wait to get home and to start creating some little collections with 100 shades of gray, black, and white. What about you?
Happy Thursday!

1.) Dramatic and rugged promotional photograph for Mohawk General Store | 2.) Feminine and bold decorative bottles illustrated with a black and white bird. Designed and created by Laura Zindel (Buy these for my birthday please!!) | 3.) Lovely wheel-thrown and handcrafted ceramic “Striped Citrus” bowl created by Katie Coston (A friend of mine!) of Illyria Pottery. | 4.) Plus One linen fabric from Spoonflower. What a stunning statement piece this fabric would make!
You can never go wrong with black & white.
Have you ever been to that women’s clothing store, White House, Black Market? Most of the clothing is some variation on the black/white theme, & it’s all classy, elegant stuff. I love it.
I love #3–such a pretty way to eat a grapefruit!
