So not only does Gokhun Guneyhan travel to picture perfect places, but he photographs them expertly, and then, to top it all off, creates unique logos for each place he visited, layering them on the already stunning photographs. Oh my…
Gokhun is from Turkey, and his deep love for a variety of cultures and life is evident in his work. Don’t his photographs look like they were taken out of a beautiful a dream? I love the warm colors, the hazy atmosphere, and the unique angles.
Enjoy gazing at these, and when you’re done, I will not blame you one little bit if you drop everything, hop on a plane, land in Paris, and start your next adventure! It would be completely understandable.
But, if, like me, you are tied to every-day-life this week, you can at least get a set of typography+photography postcards for yourself! Mail them to friends, frame them, put them in windows in your kitchen with a little “wish I was here” note, and dream away! These type+photo postcards are available in Gokhun Guneyhan’s shop. Also, stop by the blog and portfolio site to see more of his work!
I am so madly in love with this photograph. What a fantastic perspective. It takes on fewer “photography” characteristics, and more abstract art and graphic design character traits. Love. It.
Warsaw, Paris. Two sites that I’ve visited. Light, color, old and new, all together. Warsaw – a place full of wonderful people. Streets, bazaars and unforgettable castles. Paris … I was feeling at home (in Bucharest): beggars on the subway or RER, homless sleeping on the streets, cafes, junk food. A blend of old and new, cosmopolitan world ….

I haven’t been to Amsterdam since I was about 7 or 8… I do remember loving all the fresh cheese and the miniature park. Can’t remember what that place was called, but I loved it dearly!

I’ve been there only once, but definitely it’s a place where I’d like to come back…

You should really consider Berlin that would be nice!

Ya. Berlin. Very, very nice place. Also the Park Sanssouci. This Park was originally an orchard near Potsdam. This was the favorite retreat of King Friedrich II – later known as Friedrich the Great. Here he could stay without worries (hence the name sans souci, Sanssouci palace, Schloß Sanssouci, which means without worry in French).
