Happy Saturday!

Today (and for the next three days) you may find me roaming all over the Charleston, SC and surrounding areas with my two little cuties, handsome husband, and darling sister.  She’s here for a visit and we have big plans for exciting times!

I stumbled across this painting Botany Bay, 5×7 oil on panel, created local artist, Charlotte Hutson-Wrenn while doing a bit of online gallery hopping and I am so glad I did!  Charlotte’s blog is so full of history, art, and passion for the “low country” as we call it around here.  I love the warm glowing colors in this oil painting.  It feels so inviting and poetic with its free brush strokes and suggested motion.   Doesn’t it make you want to come down for a visit?
