A Beautiful Hello Kind of Day

If you are going to pick someplace to spend a beautiful, sunny Saturday, and you are looking for both ocean life and city culture, and you have wonderful people to spend the day with, Charleston is your town!  Check out the post I did a little bit ago for some more {slightly more glamorous} photos of our new city.

We had so much fun wandering the street lazily.  Eating the most outstanding lunch at Magnolia’s, sitting on the dock, watching boats and dolphins (well, honestly, my husband saw all the dolphins…  not sure what’s wrong with me, but I only saw one out of 15 sightings.  Ha!) We stopped in several beautiful galleries, and I found several new artist with outstanding work (more about them coming soon!) Starbucks (of course) a bit of shopping…   Over all, this was the best day of the year so far!

Our day on the town was so wonderful because we’re finally at a place where we can relax.  We’re not packing, we’re not moving, we’re not staying in a hotel suite, we’re not trying to find the perfect place to live, we’re not unpacking (well…  we’re at least at a peaceful place, if not all done).  God is good and the sunshine and happy smiles are wonderful.

Check back tomorrow as I introduce an artist that has inspired me for a couple of years now!  I recently re-discovered her work and am in love with it!  Can’t wait to share!

Happy Monday!

Most days you can find me, in the studio with my little girls, speckled in oil paint (drinking too much coffee), creating artwork for collectors around the world and collaborating with select brands. Check out my artwork on EmilyJeffords.com
