When I said I was inspired by Marco Suarez’s work, I was serious! I was reading an article by Pilar Guzman, editor in chef of the Martha Stewart magazine while working out (does that make me sound really old?). The article was nice, a lovely story about making gingerbread houses with her family… but this little saying jumped out at me! It’s so true and so brilliant. I hope it inspires you to work hard and to dream big and to attempt the unimaginable.
This piece really just evolved while I should have been sleeping. But it was fun to create, and I felt challenged and fulfilled by it. I am also a huge fan of poppies (just fyi in case you want to mail me a packet of seeds…) so, of course, I had to feature them in this piece. All in all, despite its slight roughness, many trial and error moments, and changes mid process, I am quite pleased with my little “doodle”! What do you think?
