There was a time when I painted a whole, completed painting each and every day.  “Painting365” Crazy, I know.  That was when I only had one baby and a huge house, with a huge studio in which to paint!  That was last year… this year, we are in Texas short term, living in an apartment, and I now have two babies!  Things change quickly. I studied art in college, getting my BFA in fine art in 2008, but I honestly think I learned more by painting and painting and painting than I did in all 4 years of college!  Of course, I would never trade those classes and projects for anything.  They were the foundation for who I am as an artist today!

I find painting to be one of the most relaxing, challenging, exciting, tedious, enjoyable, gratifying, peaceful, and things in my life.  I can’t wait to see the paintings I will create in 2012!  It’s going to be a very artistic year, I can tell.

All that being said: go check out my portfolio site!  I’ll post paintings on here as I create them as well.

Your oils remind of Lucien Freud’s work. Very, very nice.

I paint a whole, completed painting each week and here is my collection of super-silhouettes of things ranging from nature to aircraft, so far — https://picasaweb.google.com/102840916661526258313/SilhouetteAndMore#
