Creative Signs of Survival: I’m alive and this is what I’m doing.
My goodness, I’ve missed you all. And yet, I’ve enjoyed my time away (is it alright if I say that?).
This post is going to serve as a quick update on all the craziness.
Where have I been?
I’m alive (although if you follow me on Instagram you probably already guessed that…) Our move when extremely well. Thank you all for your huge support and love along the way. I feel at home already! We are nearly settled. There are a few lingering boxes in a few corners, but I’m growing rather fond of them. Plus, our home feels a little void of furniture as this place is a little bigger than our last. So, who knows, maybe I’ll just pretend that the shabby-chic brown cardboard look is a “thing” in minimalistic homes.
No but really, we’re loving our space. It’s perfect and we are all so very happy here. It needs several gallons of white paint and some extra love in places (don’t we all), but I can’t wait to share it with you soon!
Why have I not written sooner?
Short answer, life has been steam-rolling faster than I can keep up with at the moment. But that is a very good and beautiful thing.
Also, our internet took for-freaking-ever to get set up (hence – all the iPhone tweets and instagraph photos you’ve been seeing!) I mean, really… how hard can it be? (tech people, please don’t answer that. I toally respect you and your satellite/fiber-optic cable magic).
What’s all this so-called business I’ve got going on?
This weekend, if you’re in the South Eastern states, come and visit me at the remarkably exciting Indie Craft Parade! I’ll be there with bells on, surrounded by all my artwork and I would LOVE to meet you!
Later this month, our studio, the White Whale is having an exciting open house featuring the work of 8 artist as well as Greenville’s newst food truck, ThoroughFare!
Greenville area readers, you’ve got to come to this. It’s going to be the best even in town (on that night at least….) Sept 27th 6:00-10:00.
And then, in October, I have the huge honor of showing my work in a gallery in Orlando, FL: Gallery Twelve 21 along with two other Greenville artist, both of whom totally rock.
And, yes, I still have two kids (they’re doing quite well, thank you! My oldest just turned FOUR! I just can’t get over that. It’s making me a little sentimental…)
I can’t wait to get back to regular blogging soon. I’ll be focusing all of my efforts on the Indie Craft Parade this week, so I’ll see you there or in the recap early next week!
Thank you for your kind emails, tweets, facebook posts, and comments. You guys really light up my life and warm my heart. I so appreciate you’re support.
I’ll be back soon!
