Artist Spotlight: Nguyen Thanh Binh: figure painter, emotion catcher

Hello everyone!
If you’re anything like me, the first time you glanced at these paintings you had a beautiful combination of joy, longing, peace, excitement, and love. I think I felt those things because, upon glancing at these paintings, I felt as if I were in them; as if the subject was actually me. The figures are so suggested and the movement and scenes are so familiar to me, I wish I could jump right into the painting.
Nguyen Thanh Binh is a contemporary painter living in Vietnam. He paints with such simplicity and grace it seems impossible to not gt caught up in the scene. I love the limited color pallet Binh uses: neutrals, black, white, and reds.

What speaks to you in these paintings? Have you seen Binh’s work before? …and don’t you want to snuggle a baby or dance around the room right now??
Let these paintings remind us to stop for a moment and notice the precious things in life.
Check out more of Nguyen Thanh Binh work and philosophy on his site. There are several pieces for sale there as well!
Have a beautiful day!
