A Week of Thankfulness: Art, Design, and Blog happenings

November 19, 2012

Hello everyone!
This week officially starts the all-encompassing, totally exciting holiday season for our family.  In the US, Thursday is Thanksgiving Day and pretty much the very next day Christmas takes over with a flurry of excitement.   Add to all the festivities three up coming art shows….  I’m getting EXCITED!

This week is going to be a little extra exciting on the blog as well.  As you know, this blog is a huge lover of handmade, fine art, well designed items!  To help you guys (gift buyers!) in finding the very best deal on the VERY best handmade products out there I am putting together a “Black Friday” handmade shopping guide.

This “Link-up” is going to be a list of creative and handmade online shops that are all offering discounts for Black Friday.   Just in time for all your holiday shopping!  Just imagine it, you can still take part in the exciting shopping weekend, without having to leave your living room, AND you get to buy excellent products from outstanding artisans.  That sounds like winning to me!

If you are a handmade shop owner (selling online) feel free to submit your shop by midnight tonight.

This post will go live early on Friday morning with gifts for everyone on your list.  Make your plans to check it out as many shops are offering amazing one-day sales!

Links for the images above:

1. “Ex Flammis Resurge“, $45 a beautiful nature inspired acrylic painting by Kerri Blackman  |  2. Silver Oak Garland, $16 from Royal Buffet (wouldn’t you love to decorate your mantle with this?!)|  3. Free Printable Placemats from The Pretty Blog  |  4.  DIY brown paper bag flowers from A Place for Us Blog |  5. “Indian” Fine art print, $16 designed by Mads Hindhede  |  6. For you I am Thankful free printable/download from me to you!

Oh goodness, those placemats are so darling!  I can’t wait to print them out and use them on our table!  I just love Thanksgiving.  It helps me to refocus my life and remember those I cherish most.  What are you most thankful for?

Happy Thanksgiving week!

This is Black Friday shopping that I can support. I detest what goes on in retail stores that day.

It does get a little crazy and absurd. ha! This is going to be SUCH a great resource for quality Christmas shopping. I’m really excited about the shops that are participating.
