The Paris Market: Savannah, GA

August 24, 2012

Hello!

As I mentioned earlier in the week, I went to Savannah to deliver my latest commission painting (see it here!)  I’m so happy that everything worked out for me to deliver this painting in Savannah because I love, love, LOVE this city!  In fact, my husband and I spend 9 days here on our honeymoon and have made several weekend trips since then.  It’s one of the most relaxing, enjoyable, vibrant city I’ve been to.   And, oh…. the food.  Oh my.

If you go to Savannah you MUST stop in The Paris Market!  It is such a treasure chest of vintage + new items from France and inspired by Paris.  I love that some of the employees literally have a rich french accent and everyone there is passionate about the shop.  I scored some awesome antique metals and medallions on my most recent trip!  I can’t wait to add them to a collage!

The Paris Market is also where I get a lot of inspiration… along with a KEY component to my “From Here to There” ink on metal collages!  They provide me with all the tin frames my heart could wish for (which makes me oh-so-very-very-happy).

Where do you go for inspiration?  Do you have a favorite shop in your city?  Please share!

Looks like a fun time! I live in Dallas and believe it or not, it’s not all steel and concrete. Well, yes, it is, BUT there are some really cool shops in those steel and concrete buildings!

Plus some others that don’t even have websites. Imagine that! Just small and locally owned so I guess they figure they don’t need one!

I love Dallas! We used to live in Houston and San Angelo, TX (I’ve moved around a lot…) and Dallas seems like such a great city. Thanks for the links!
